disney dreamlight valley | how to feed all of the critters 🦝

a simple task that requires a ton of patience is feeding all of the critters in disney dreamlight valley. here's a video and step-by-step guide on how to feed all of the critters their favorite foods!

how to feed the squirrels in disney dreamlight valley:

  • you can find squirrels in the plaza and there’s usually two around at a time.
  • to feed them, all you need to do is approach them and give them peanuts, which you can purchase from chez remy.
    • if you don’t have chez remy available yet, they enjoy apples and blueberries, too!
  • once you have fed the squirrels a handful of times, they will be added to your collection!
    • you can see what squirrels you have/don't have in your main menu > collections > critters
      • tip: check the bottom bar in the critters tab to see what time specific squirrels will be in dreamlight valley
  • there are five squirrels: black squirrel, classic squirrel, gray squirrel, red squirrel, and white squirrel

how to feed the rabbits in disney dreamlight valley:

  • you can find rabbits in the peaceful meadow and there’s usually two around at a time.
  • to feed them, all you need to do is chase them around a few times and give them carrots.
    • to do this, purchase carrots seeds from goofy’s stall, dig holes, and water them.
    • you can grow crops once you have your shovel and watering can–a couple of the royal tools in the game.
    • you can purchase carrot seeds for 10 star coins each at goofy’s stall in the peaceful meadow.
    • each seed takes 15 minutes to grow and produces one carrot per harvest.
    • tip: crops grow faster if you grow them in the biomes that they are sold in.
      • for example, if you purchase carrot seeds in the peaceful meadow, plant them in the peaceful meadow for faster harvest times. this is designated by a green arrow that appears on the seed when you are planting.
    • tip: ask your gardening pals to hang out with you while you harvest your carrots for potential bonus carrots!
  • once you have fed the rabbits a handful of times, they will be added to your collection!
    • you can see what rabbits you have/don't have in your main menu > collections > critters
      • tip: check the bottom bar in the critters tab to see what time specific rabbits will be in dreamlight valley
  • there are five rabbits: black rabbit, brown rabbit, calico rabbit, classic rabbit, and white rabbit

how to feed the sea turtles in disney dreamlight valley:

  • you can find sea turtles in dazzle beach and there’s usually two around at a time.
  • to feed them, all you need to do is approach them, wait for them to pop out of their shell after hiding + give them seaweed, which you can fish for once you have your fishing rod, a royal tool in the game.
    • you can catch seaweed by fishing in water areas that do not have a marked fishing spawn spot. you have a chance at catching fish, but also seaweed!
  • once you have fed the sea turtles a handful of times, they are added to your collection!
    • you can see what sea turtles you have/don't have in your main menu > collections > critters
    • tip: check the bottom bar in the critters tab to see what time specific sea turtles will be in dreamlight valley
  • there are five rabbits: black sea turtle, brown sea turtle, classic sea turtle, purple sea turtle, and white sea turtle

how to feed the raccoons in disney dreamlight valley:

  • you can find raccoons in the forest of valor and there’s usually two around at a time.
  • to feed them, all you need to do is engage with one and move similar to the red light, green light game. once they recognize you, they’ll pop their head up. freeze! don’t move while their head is up! each time their head goes down, you have a chance at moving closer to them. stop and freeze BEFORE their head pops up again. repeat until you can approach them.
  • give them blueberries, which you can harvest from blueberry bushes.
    • blueberries originate from the forest of valor, but i’ve moved mine closer to my house in the plaza.
  • once you have fed the raccoons a handful of times, they are added to your collection!
    • you can see what raccoons you have/don't have in your main menu > collections > critters
      • tip: check the bottom bar in the critters tab to see what time specific raccoons will be in dreamlight valley
  • there are five raccoons: black raccoon, red raccoon, classic raccoon, white raccoon, and a blue raccoon

how to feed the crocodiles in disney dreamlight valley:

  • you can find the crocodiles in the glade of trust and there’s usually two around at a time.
  • to feed them, all you need to do is engage with one and move similar to the red light, green light game:
    • once they recognize you, they’ll pop their head up. FREEZE! don’t move while their head is up! each time their head goes down, you have a chance at moving closer to them. stop and freeze BEFORE their head pops up again. repeat until you can approach them.
  • give them a lobster, which you can fish from a gold fishing spawn ring in the glade of trust.
  • once you have fed the crocodiles a handful of times, they are added to your collection!
    • you can see what crocodiles you have/don't have in your main menu > collections > critters
    • tip: check the bottom bar in the critters tab to see what time specific crocodiles will be in dreamlight valley
  • there are six crocodiles: blue crocodile, classic crocodile, golden crocodile, pink crocodile, red crocodile, and a white crocodile

    how to feed the foxes in disney dreamlight valley:

    • you can find foxes in the frosted heights and there’s usually two around at a time.
    • to feed them, all you need to do is chase them around a few times and give them a white sturgeon, which you can fish from a gold fishing spawn ring in frosted heights. 
    • once you have fed the foxes a handful of times, they are added to your collection!
      • you can see what foxes you have/don't have in your main menu > collections > critters
        • tip: check the bottom bar in the critters tab to see what time specific foxes will be in dreamlight valley
    • there are five foxes: black fox, classic fox, white fox, blue fox, and a red fox

    how to feed the sunbirds in disney dreamlight valley:

    • you can find the sunbirds in the sunlit plateau and there’s usually two around at a time.
    • to feed them, all you need to do is approach them and give them a flower (bonus if it matches the color of their feathers! see below.). they enjoy houseleeks and bromeliads, which you can pick from the sunlit plateau.
      • here are their favorites:
        • emerald sunbird - green passion lily
        • golden sunbird - sunflower
        • orchid sunbird - pink bromeliad
        • red sunbird - red bromeliad
        • turquoise sunbird - pink houseleek
    • once you have fed the sunbirds a handful of times, they will be added to your collection!
      • you can see what sunbirds you have/don't have in your main menu > collections > critters
        • tip: check the bottom bar in the critters tab to see what time specific sunbirds will be in dreamlight valley
    • there are five sunbirds: emerald sunbird, golden sunbird, orchid sunbird, red sunbird, and a turquoise sunbird

    how to feed the ravens in disney dreamlight valley:

    • you can find ravens in the forgotten lands and there’s usually two around at a time.
    • to feed them, all you need to do is engage with one, once they recognize you, they’ll fly in a circular motion. stand still until they descend a bit and move forward when they are are approachable.
    • give them a 5-star meal, which you can cook right in the forgotten lands at the cooking station near the orb.
    • once you have fed the ravens a handful of times, they are added to your collection!

        • tip: check the bottom bar in the critters tab to see what time specific ravens will be in dreamlight valley
    • there are five ravens: red raven, classic raven, blue raven, white raven, brown raven
